Koncar Instrument Transformers presentation: Sustainability without compromises – pioneering instrument transformers with biodegradable liquids

There is no thorough experience regarding instrument transformers filled with biodegredable liquids. This called for extensive dielectric and other testing to verify its insulation system.

The prototypes which have been examined were filled with two different types of biodegredable liquids: MIDEL 7131 and Nynas Nytro BIO 300 X. Both liquids have been successfully implemented, thereby also creating a large base of accompanying results and experience.
