Under specific operating conditions, resonances in transformer windings can lead to voltage amplitudes significantly higher than those occurring at nominal frequencies. Such voltage amplifications may result in severe issues, including the breakdown of insulation layers and subsequent equipment failure. Predicting the occurrence of these resonances is generally challenging due to the complex electromagnetic and structural interactions within the winding system. A common method to analyze these effects is the use of FEM simulations; however, this approach typically requires substantial computational resources and long processing times. Thus, we present a numerical calculation program that enables the simulation of the resonance behavior of cast resin coils based on layer winding technology with considerably reduced computational effort and simulation time. The proposed approach allows for an efficient assessment of resonance phenomena while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
