Switzerland, Zurich: ABB has developed, manufactured and energized a 1,200 kV ultra-high-voltage power transformer to support India’s plans to build a 1,200 kV transmission system, supplementing the existing 400 kV and 800 kV transmission grids.
Germany, Erlangen: Together with local partners in China, Siemens will deliver the world’s first 1,100 kV converter transformers for the world’s largest and first high-voltage direct-current (HVDC) transmission link with a transmission voltage of 1,100 kV DC, located in China.
Switzerland, Zurich: ABB has won an order worth around $30 million from Norwegian transmission system operator Statnett SF to supply power transformers that will help increase the capacity of the country’s central power grid, bolstering its energy security and ability to transmit more renewable energy.
