Canada, Ontario: Greenhouse operators in Leamington, Ontario, need $62 million hydro upgrade approved in order to expand their business.
If the Ontario Energy Board make a positive decision on Hydro One application for the new substation, Leamington will receive a new power transformer station valued at $26 million, and a new 13-kilometre transmission line worth $36 million.
The approved substation would take four years to build and it would support 600 acres of greenhouse expansion projected for Leamington and Kingsville over the next five years.
