Poland, Lubliniec: EthosEnergy Poland S.A. has been awarded a contract for the design, manufacture, transportation and assembly of four 150 MVA 242/13.8 kV generator step-up and two 6 MVA 13.8/6 kV auxiliary transformers for the Porabka-Zar hydropower station in Poland.

Poland, Lubliniec: EthosEnergy Poland S.A. has been awarded a contract for the design, manufacture, transportation and assembly of four 150 MVA 242/13.8 kV generator step-up and two 6 MVA 13.8/6 kV auxiliary transformers for the Porabka-Zar hydropower station in Poland.

In addition to the supply of transformers, the company will upgrade the control and protection systems for the facility and design a new water-cooling system for the transformers, reports Compressor.

EthosEnergy will also install an anti-explosion transformer protection system.

The Porabka-Zar plant is the only underground power plant in Poland, operating four 125 MW hydraulic turbines situated 500 metres underground.
