3M introduces new liquid transformer insulation

USA, Minnesota: 3M has launched new insulation for high-temperature, oil-filled distribution transformers designed to increase transformer overload capabilities and provide size reduction opportunities.

 

USA, Minnesota: 3M has launched new insulation for high-temperature, oil-filled distribution transformers designed to increase transformer overload capabilities and provide size reduction opportunities.

According to the manufacturer, the new insulation offers thermal stability, low moisture absorption, high thermal conductivity, and long-term reliability.

The new RoHS and REACH Compliant insulation is also intended to help transformer designers meet demanding sustainability requirements with minimal environmental impact, states the manufacturer.
