ZTR wins its first order in South Africa
Ukraine, Zaporyzhye: Ukrainian transformer manufacturer Zaporozhtransformator (ZTR) has entered a new market, winning its first equipment order in South Africa.
As part of the contract, ZTR will supply a shunt reactor for a substation in South Africa operated by the state-owned electricity operator Eskom, the manufacturer said in a press release.
It took about two years for ZTR to win this contract. The company worked with a local partner, Afritek, to develop the pilot project for the customer, which was then followed by this order.
ZTR will also supervise the installation and commissioning of the equipment at the customer’s site.
The delivery is scheduled for April 2017.
