Government to support completion of Odogunyan substation with $11.5M
Nigeria, Lagos: The Federal Government of Nigeria has pledged to commit additional $11.5 million for the completion of the Odogunyan transmission substation in Ikorodu, Lagos State, to improve power supply.
The investment would provide for additional transformer capacity at the substation by installation of 260 MVA transformers and 132 kV transmission lines, reports The Guardian.
Nigerian Minister of Works, Power and Housing disclosed that the contract for the project was initially awarded in 2009 but has since been abandoned because it was not paid for.
