EETC opening tender for erection of four transformer stations
Egypt, Cairo: The Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) will open a tender next week for the establishment of four transformer stations.
The tender includes construction of transformer stations in Eastern Sohag at 500 kV voltage, Qena at 500 kV voltage, Zagazig at 500 kV, and Bilbeis at 220 kV voltage, reports MENAFN.
This tender is included in the EETC’s plan to strengthen the national electricity grid to accommodate the additional capacities.
For the programme, The EETC agreed with the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) on borrowing $1.1 billion to strengthen the national electricity grid.
