WEG to supply turnkey solution for solar complex in Brazil’s NE
Brazil: WEG S.A. has been awarded with engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts for the supply of a turnkey solution for the photovoltaic solar complexes Coremas I and II, in the state of Paraiba, in Brazil’s Northeast.
The contracts include the construction of two solar plants, including the substation with power transformers and associated electrical equipment, and a transmission line, in the city of Coremas, the manufacturer said in a statement.
Coordinated by Nordic Power Partners, a joint-venture between European Energy S/A and Denmark’s Climate Investment Fund, and the Brazilian company Rio Alto Energy, the project also comprises the construction of another solar plant (Coremas III), which is expected to be concluded in October 2018.
The total value of the projects is $135.5 million.
