Power station contract to be tendered as part of $247M project

Canada, Ontario: The $247 million upgrade at Woodward sewer plant in Hamilton, Ontario will include a $60 million energy centre project so that the facility will be able to operate even when power is out.

The power centre contract will be tendered during the summer and it will include a new power transformer and other upgrades to protect the facility in the advent of a power grid failure, reports The Hamilton Spector.

The construction is planned to begin later in 2017.
