IMP Powers receives order for 12 power transformers

India, Tamil Nadu: Indian power transformer manufacturer IMP Powers Ltd has received an order worth close for twelve 160 MVA, 230 kV power transformers from Tamil Nadu Transmission Corporation.

The total order value for the power transformers whose total capacity will be 1,920 MVA is nearly $10 million, reports Money Control.

“The focus of the [Indian] government on the transmission and distribution (T&D) sector is high. If the entire Gujarat model is extrapolated in the entire country, there is going to be huge potential in the T&D sector and that is what we are looking at,” commented Aaditya R Dhoot, Joint MD of the company speaking about the latest developments in his company and the sector.
