USD 41.2M reconstruction begins at a Ukrainian TPP

Ukraine, Kiev: Ukrainian largest private energy company DTEK Energo has started a reconstruction of Unit 10 of Burshtyn Thermal Power Plant (TPP) at a cost of $41.2 million.

The upgrades will include replacement of the key electrical equipment, including the power transformer and the generator, reports Open4Busniess.

Once complete, the reconstruction will allow the capacity of the unit to be increased from 195 MW to 210 MW, with its lifespan extended for 15 years.
