Transformer failure puts Romanian power plant out of service
Romania: A transformer failure at the Brazi power plant, Romanian largest private Greenfield project for electricity generation, has put the plant out of service and the outage may last until August.
OMV Petrom, the oil and gas group operating the plant, said the outage was caused by the failed steam turbine transformer, reports Energy Voice.
While the issue is still under investigation, the operator said that based on preliminary data, power may not be available until the end of July 2017.
