Nigeria, Lagos: The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) increased the capacity of its Ajah substation in Lagos State to 220 MVA by adding a 60 MVA transformer.

The new 60 MVA 132 kV mobile transformer was installed to meet the increased electricity demand by Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) due to an expanding number of customers, reports Daily Trust.

According to TCN, the company is also working on reviving another 60 MVA transformer in the substation, which was relocated from Alagbon substation that recently had another two 60 MVA transformers repaired and returned to operation.
