South Korean manufacturer wins $44M transformer order in UK

South Korea, Seoul: Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. and trading company Posco Daewoo have won a $44 million transformer order from National Grid, a UK electricity transmission company.

Under the contract, the two companies will supply 23 high-pressure power transformers to electric power stations in Britain for three years ending 2020, reports Yonhap News.

The two Korean firms have previously provided National Grid with $115M worth of transformers since 2011.
