Eskom former CE Brian Molefe to resume position
South Africa, Johannesburg: Brian Molefe, the former Eskom Chief Executive, is expected to resume his position as head on Monday 15 May 2017, after Eskom decided to revoke its decision to pay him a pension pay-out, reports ESI-Africa.
After an extensive consultation process, Eskom has taken a decision to reverse Molefe’s employment contract and he will return to his previous position next week, according to Eskom.
In November last year, Molefe handed in his resignation following the release of the State of Capture report by the former Public Protector, Advocate Thuli Madonsela.
The former CE wrote a letter to the public at the time, explaining the reasons for his resignation, saying his actions were “in the interests of Eskom and the public it serves.”
