Paraguari powers up with a new transformer

Paraguay: In response to the increase in the consumption of electrical power in the department of Paraguarí, the National Electricity Administration commissioned a new 30 MVA power transformer at the Quiindy substation.

The substation upgrade project consisted of replacing the previous 20 MVA power transformer with a new 30 MVA, 66 kV unit to increase the installed capacity at the Quiindy substation, as well as other related upgrades of the electrical equipment, reports La Nacion.

This modernization will provide better quality of service to the customers in the towns of Quiindy, San Roque González de Santacruz, Ybycuí, Acahay, La Colmena and Tebycuarymi.
