Dubai’s DEWA awards USD 35.2M of transformer contracts

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has awarded $35.2 million worth of contracts for a total of 1,570 transformers to expand the city’s electricity distribution network.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, managing director and CEO of DEWA, said the transformers would increase the capacity, efficiency and reliability of the electricity distribution network in Dubai and ensure a stable supply of power.

Al Tayer said the transformers would be delivered by April 2018.
