USD 185m to be invested in a new LaGuardia Airport substation

Delta Air Lines has started construction on its $4bn facilities at LaGuardia Airport in the US, after signing a new long-term lease with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

Delta is investing $3.4bn to develop the eastern half of the new airport, while the western half and airport roadways have been under development since June 2016. In addition, the Port Authority is investing $600m to redevelop the airline’s existing terminal and gate facilities at the airport.

Furthermore, $185m will be invested in a new electrical substation.

The redeveloped LaGuardia Airport is slated to be fully completed by 2021.
