United Kingdom: A 223 tonne transformer made its way through the North East of England two days ago on its way to Oldbury in West Midlands.

The transformer was transported from Stella West Substation in Newcastle to Swan Hunters Berth at Wallsend, where it was put on a barge at Ellesmere Port before continuing its journey to Oldbury, reports ITV.

The transformer travelled along Highways England roads as well as some local authority roads, and its journey also took it through the roadworks at the A19 Coast Road.
