Half of Cross Rivers State Capital in darkness for almost a week

Nigeria, Cross Rivers State: Half of Calabar, Cross Rivers State capital, and Calabar South local government area have been plunged into darkness by Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHED).

For almost a week now the area has been in darkness, with no official reason confirmed by the company, reports Daily Post.

Corporate Affairs Manager, John Onyi, told Daily Post the outage could be caused by a fault in the transformer, but heavy rain and safety issues have delayed rectifying the fault.
