New transformer to increase capacity at Voronezh substation
Russia, Voronezh: FGC UES, Russian electricity transmission company, is finalizing the reconstruction of the 220 kV Latnaya substation in the Voronezh region.
The substation upgrade project includes the replacement of a 125 MVA autotransformer with a new 200 MVA unit, which will increase the capacity of the substation to 400 MVA, reports EnergyLand.
Latnaya substation, located in the north-west of the Voronezh region, was built in 1971 and it transmits power generated at the Novovoronezh nuclear power plant, carrying out power flows between the Voronezh and Belgorod regions.
