Ghana to build Bulk Supply Point Substation

Ghana’s Millennium Development Authority (MiDA) is planning the construction of a Bulk Supply Point (BSP) substation, which would benefit the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) and GRIDCo in distribution and transmission networks.

The BSP substation would be the largest in the country and strengthen the power supply at Pokuase, Achimota, Nsawam, Kwabenya and surrounding communities in the Greater Accra Region, reports ESI-Africa.

ESi-Africa also cites Business Ghana which noted that the government of Ghana and the US signed the Compact II project agreement, which would secure $498 million funding to support the improvement of Ghana’s power sector.
