Trump might order 25% tariffs on steel imports

USA, Washington: During a White House “listening session” with executives from U.S. steel and aluminum companies, President Donald Trump said he will impose an import tax, or tariffs, of 25 percent on foreign steel brought into the United States, reports Cleveland.com.

The president’s statement does not offer any details on whether the tariffs will apply to imports from all countries, or on all kinds of steel.

Full answers are expected to come next week in Trump’s formal announcement.
