USD 397M to be invested in Ohio Edison Service Area in 2018

USA, Ohio: FirstEnergy will invest about $397 million in 2018 on distribution and transmission infrastructure projects to help enhance reliability for the more than one million customers in the Ohio Edison’s 34-county service territory.  

Major projects scheduled in 2018 throughout Ohio Edison area include adding new equipment in substations, including power transformers, rebuilding transmission lines, adding remote control equipment to reduce outage durations, replacing underground circuits, and more, the company said in the press release.

Some of the facilities to be expanded include substations in the Hudson, Marion, and Delaware area.
