USD 189M investment planned in Mon Power Area

USA, West Virginia: FirstEnergy will invest about $189 million in 2018 on distribution and transmission infrastructure projects aimed to enhance service reliability and meet future economic growth for its customers in Mon Power’s 34-county West Virginia service area.

The projects include transmission enhancements to reinforce the system, constructing new substations and distribution lines and inspecting and replacing utility poles and other equipment. 

One of the projects includes installing a new transformer and related distribution lines and equipment at a substation in Marion County that will improve capacity and enhance service reliability for customers in the Barrackville, Bellview, and Fairmont areas.
