Consultants needed for Mozambique-Malawi interconnection project

The government of Mozambique has received financing from the World Bank-administered Norwegian Trust Fund towards the cost of Preparation of the Mozambique–Malawi Transmission Interconnection Project.

As part of the proceeds, the government is looking for consultants (tender agents) with experience in consultancy services related to procurement of new extra high voltage transmission systems for voltage up to 400 kV, experience of procurement involving supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, experience in procurement of contractors, reports ESI-Africa.

The Mozambique-Malawi Transmission Interconnection Project will connect Malawi to the Southern African Power Pool (SAPP), allowing two-way energy trade between the two countries.
