DTE Energy to invest $1.7B in Michigan renewable projects
USA, Michigan: DTE Energy has submitted its 2018 Renewable Energy Plan to the Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) proposing projects that would add 1 GW of renewable projects in the state, driving an investment of over $1.7 billion.
If approved, the projects are expected generate enough clean electricity to power more than 800,000 Michigan homes, increasing the current renewable capacity from 1GW to 2GW by 2022, reports CTBR.
The plan includes the launch of the Pine River wind park later this year and the Polaris wind park next year. The proposed plan also includes construction of two additional wind parks expected to start operations in 2021 and 2022.
