Fermi 2 nuclear plant remains down due to transformer fault

USA, Michigan: A nuclear power plant in south-eastern Michigan, Fermi 2, remains shut down after a transformer malfunctioned last weekend.

According to DTE Energy, Fermi 2 in Monroe County is in a safe and stable condition after the plant was automatically shut down, reports Bristol Herald Courier.

The crews are investigating the cause of the transformer problem.
