Azerbaijan expanding distribution network as part of White City project

The head of Azerbaijani power distribution company Azerishiq, Baba Rzayev, said that 60 percent of the work on the expansion and modernizing of its power distribution network within the White City project was completed, reports Azer News.

To meet the needs of numerous residential buildings that will be built around Fizuli square and in the territory called Sovetskaya, the company will build a new 110 kV substation and lay new 110 kV cables between the Yasamal-1 substation and the future substation.

Rzayev also announced a number of new substations will be built in order to improve electricity supply in the near-border areas, in Terter, Gazakh and Jabrayil districts.

The construction of one substation in Terter district is currently underway.
