Iran looking to export transformers to regional markets
Iran: Transformer manufacturer Iran Transfo Corporation exported over $120 million worth of transformers to Iraq and Afghanistan in the last 12-month period, and is aiming to expand its regional market, according to the managing director Arsalan Fathipour.
Fathipur said that in the current fiscal year, the country plans to export $150 million worth of various transformers to foreign countries, with Syria, Armenia, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan among potential regional markets, reports 4-traders.
Iran’s annual transformer demand is equal to 24,000 MVA of transformer capacity.
According to Fathipur, Iran manufactured 23,000 transformers in the last fiscal year, and is expecting to reach 33,000 units in the current fiscal year.
