Two new substations running by end of month in Nevada

USA, Nevada: NV Energy has commission a new Smith Valley substation, while a new Mason Valley substation will be operational by the end of the month, reports Reno Gazette Journal.

A 60 kV transmission line is being rerouted to the new Mason Valley station, and an existing 25 kV distribution line was rebuilt in Smith Valley.

The more than 40-year-old Bridge Street and Anaconda substations, which serve a combined 8,000 customers, and the Smith Valley substation will be dismantled after 22 June.
