Two electricians suffered burns as transformer exploded

Two electricians were injured in a transformer explosion that took place in downtown Montreal, Canada.

The workers aged between 20 and 30 years old have been hospitalized, one with severe burns to his upper body, reports Montreal Gazette.

The transformer that exploded is located is on Bleury St. near Ste-Catherine St. The two electricians were working on a backup power line at the time of the incident.

Hydro Québec says the explosion is unrelated to power outages in Montreal and the South Shore.
