Egypt to launch tender for nine transformer stations
Egypt’s Ministry of Electricity is preparing to announce a tender for the construction of nine transformer substations in Egypt with a capacity of 14,000 MVA, worth close to $348 million.
The tenders will be submitted within the framework of the plan for developing the transmission and distribution networks initiated by the electricity sector last year, reports Daily News Egypt.
The Ministry of Electricity aims to establish networks with a length of 6,174 km by 2025, the Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Mohamed Shaker told Daily News Egypt.
