Transelectrica to make close to $100M investments in 2018
Romania: Romania’s state-owned electricity transmission system operator Transelectrica announced plans to invest $99.8 million in the expansion and modernization of the national transmission network.
About $30 million out of the investment will be allocated to new projects, while the remainder will be used for the refurbishment and maintenance, reports Business Review.
According to Adrian Constantin Rusu, Transelectrica Executive Director, alongside the current ongoing projects, the company plans other major projects at the European level, high voltage lines for closing the 400 kV ring, and refurbishment and modernization of substations.
