Farmington receives new substation
USA, New Mexico: A new electric substation has been built in Farmington, New Mexico, which will serve thousands of Farmington Electric Utility System customers.
The new Cottonwood Substation features two power transformers that reduce voltage from 115 kV to 13.8 kV, reports Farmington Daily Times.
The Cottonwood Substation was built to replace the aging Sullivan Substation, which has reached the end of its useful life.
