Montenegro to invest €5M in Lustica energy projects

The Montenegro electro-distribution operator CEDIS has implemented projects worth 3.3 million euros in Lustica peninsula, and the investment plan for next year includes the reconstruction of the Kumbor transformer station, which will make the investments in the distribution network and facilities in that peninsula reach five million, said the company.

In the construction of the Klinci substation, which is of crucial importance for the tourist valorization of Lustica, the power cable and the grounding of the neutral point, CEDIS has invested around €2.3M.

The workers of CEDIS have previously reconstructed the substation Przno.

The Klinci transformer is a 2×8 MVA, metal shielded and gas insulated facility. The substation is also equipped with a local sCadA unit, which allows local management, while in the future it will be possible to remotely manage from the dispatch center.

The contractor of the works on the substation is Eurozox, while the 35 kV cable was built by Elektroteam from Budva.
