Celsia energizes six transformers at the Nueva Montería substation

Colombia, Cordoba: Colombian energy company Celsia has energized six power transformers at the Nueva Montería substation, as part of the project that included construction of the new 110 kV substation and adding 1.5 km of distribution lines.

The six power transformers have added 200 MVA of transformation capacity to Cordoba’s grid, which will improve reliability of the distribution network of that area of ​​the country, Celsia stated in the press release.

The substation also includes a seventh transformer which serves as a backup for cases when a fault occurs or maintenance needs be performed on any of the other six units, the release said.
