Essex Magnet Wire opens new $34M facility in Serbia
Serbia, Zrenjanin: Essex Magnet Wire, a Superior Essex company, has announced opening of a new magnet wire plant in Zrenjanin, Serbia, an energy-efficient greenfield facility equipped to reach the highest standard in the application of the Industry 4.0 process, the company stated in the press release.
The Serbian plant is a $34 million (€30 million) investment focusing on the production of round enamelled copper wire.
“The new facility is the product of the Essex commitment to sustainability and a highly-qualified, dedicated workforce. We look forward to the success of this facility with the opportunities and accessibility it will provide for customers in the region,” said Brian Kim, CEO, Superior Essex.
