Pakistan to receive $284M for transmission network upgrades

Pakistan has been approved a $284 million loan by The Asian Development Bank (ADB) for improvements of its power transmission network.

The loan agreements signed between the Government of Pakistan and Asian Development Bank are aimed at developing a stronger, smarter, greener, and more climate-resilient power transmission system in Pakistan, reports The News.

This agreement is the third tranche of a multi-tranche financing facility under the ADB-supported Second Power Transmission Investment Program.
