Acciona Energía acquires wind farms in Texas
Spain’s Acciona Energía on Tuesday has acquired a portfolio of two wind farms in Texas, adding 300 MW of capacity to its US renewable energy fleet.

USA, Texas: Spain’s Acciona Energía on Tuesday has acquired a portfolio of two wind farms in Texas, adding 300 MW of capacity to its US renewable energy fleet. The company paid $202.5 million to buy the plants from various private asset management entities. The deal covers the acquisition of the Green Pastures I and II wind farms, which are fully operational.
The wind farms are located in Baylor and Knox Counties, North-Central Texas, and are expected to have a combined output of roughly 1.1 TWh per year. They both have a capacity of 150 MW and is connected to the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) grid. The assets add to Acciona Energía’s North American portfolio of assets totalling about 2.8 GW.
