India / Russia: Accord Transformer & Switchgear Limited (ATS) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Western Administrative District of the City of Moscow to explore cooperation in energy infrastructure and industrial development.

The non-binding agreement was signed on 22 March 2026, in Haryana, according to a stock exchange filing. It sets out a framework for collaboration in areas such as energy infrastructure, manufacturing, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) projects, as well as technology and skill development. The MoU also includes engagement with government bodies and institutional stakeholders.

As part of the agreement, both parties will assess joint opportunities involving the supply, installation and commissioning of transformers, distribution systems, switchgear and related electrical equipment. It also opens the possibility of forming joint ventures and setting up local assembly units and manufacturing facilities in Moscow to support domestic production.

The partnership aims to strengthen industrial connections, encourage technology sharing, and promote sustainable energy solutions between India and Russia.

Pradeep Kumar Verma, chairman and managing director of ATS, said the collaboration would support technology exchange, infrastructure growth, and access to global markets.

Headquartered in Gurugram, ATS manufactures transformers and switchgear, with production facilities located in Bhiwadi.
