Australia: Two large power transformers, each rated at 7,500 kVA, have been delivered from China to Australia, marking a new addition to the country’s electricity infrastructure.
The oil-immersed transformers were manufactured by Yotran Wave Electric Group CO., LTD. and recently left the company’s production facility. After undergoing design, testing, and inspection, the units are now on their way to be installed within the Australian grid.
Oil-immersed transformers of this size are typically used in regional networks and industrial facilities, helping to ensure reliable voltage transformation and stable supply. With growing demand for power across sectors, equipment of this type plays an important role in meeting consumption needs while supporting modernisation of networks.
The company highlighted the effort of its engineering and production teams, who worked through the design and testing phases to meet delivery schedules. Such shipments reflect the global nature of the transformer market, where manufacturing and supply often extend across continents.
Once installed, the new transformers are expected to help reinforce local power systems and provide additional security for electricity distribution in their designated areas of operation.
