Dominion plans to spend $ 500 million to strengthen substations

USA, Virginia: Dominion Virginia Power, the state's largest electricity supplier, is planning to spend up to $ 500 million within the next decade to strengthen its power transformer substations against armed assaults and natural disasters, and stockpile crucial equipment.

Chennai’s transformers to be replaced by RMUs

Switzerland, Zurich: ABB announced an order of 12 power transformers from the Polish power grid, PSE (Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne).

OTPL to expand transformer manufacturing unit

India, Mancheswar: Odisha Transformers Pvt Ltd (OTPL) is adding capacity to its plant at Manscheswar with the investment of Rs 4 to 5 crore (approx. between $ 600,000 and $ 800,000), according to sources in the company.

Corpoelec to construct two new substations

Venezuela, Falcon State: With an investment of 155,873,947.12 bolivars (approx. $ 25 million), Corpoelec will run construction of the new electrical substations Dabajuro and Mene Mauroa as well as expand the substation Urumaco.
