Uzbekistan, Tashkent: Chinese company China Datang has started the construction of a solar photovoltaic power plant in the Boka district of the Tashkent region, Uzbekistan. The expected cost of the 263 MW project is $150 million, and it will use 621 hectares of land, news.az reported citing foreign media.
The Chinese company also plans to build transmission lines connecting the project to the grid. This report comes after China invested $1 billion in other industries in Uzbekistan.
