Q1: COMEM has recently launched a new production line for temperature indicators in
Hefei, China. Mike, what motivated this expansion?

Mike Chen: The decision to launch this new production line was primarily driven by the high demand for our latest generation of temperature indicators. With our long-standing presence in China and a substantial installed base of products, it became clear that expanding our production
capabilities was necessary to meet the growing needs of the domestic market.

Q2: What capabilities does this new production line add to the Hefei facility?

Andrea Tonin: The new line significantly enhances our facility in several ways. We have incorporated advanced manufacturing equipment utilizing improved technology and developed routine testing equipment explicitly designed to meet also JB standard requirements. Additionally,
we can offer all configurations of our electro-mechanical temperature indicators, up to six micro-switches, and pre-series certification conducted in an external laboratory.

Q3: That sounds impressive. How does this move reflect your commitment to the local
market?

Mike Chen: Our commitment is long-term. We aim to foster innovation and growth in the transformer accessory industry by developing local talent and encouraging product innovation. By utilizing COMEM’s advanced global technology, we ensure that our products are tailored to
meet the needs of the local market, enabling us to better serve our customers.

Q4: You’ve mentioned customer needs. How does this new line enhance your ability to
meet those needs?

Mike Chen: Our goal is to provide products with exceptional technical parameters manufactured according to the highest standards. With increased capacity, we can deliver our advanced solutions to a more extensive customer base and fulfill their needs.

Q5: Andrea, you noted the importance of training and networking. Can you share more
thoughts on that?

Andrea Tonin: Absolutely. The time invested in training and networking at COMEM China and our headquarters empowers our local team to introduce our advanced solutions effectively. This project has also fostered a greater sense of belonging to COMEM at all levels of the organization,
working as one team to achieve the common goal.

Q6: How do you see this production line contributing to COMEM’s growth?

Mike Chen: Adding this production line is a significant step in our business growth and expansion strategy. By prioritizing customer needs and fostering innovation, we want to position COMEM as a future-ready company capable of thriving in an increasingly competitive landscape.
