USA, Florida, Orlando: The Desoto Group, an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) firm, has announced the appointment of three senior executives to support the company’s rapid growth. These additions aim to enhance the firm’s ability to deliver large, complex projects with skill and efficiency.
Dr Monica Gordon joins as Chief of Staff, bringing over 20 years of leadership experience in education and organisational development. She previously served as a State Representative for the National Association of Elementary School Principals and as a board member for the Florida Association of School Administrators.
Tyree Daniels has been named Director of Transmission. A third-generation lineman, he brings more than 20 years of experience in transmission operations with Southern Power Company, strengthening the company’s technical expertise.
Parish Crowder, Vice President of Utilities, is a US Army veteran with extensive experience in fleet systems and utility operations from Duke Energy. His appointment reinforces The Desoto Group’s leadership in both gas and electric distribution services.
“These appointments mark an exciting moment for our company,” said Sonya Montgomery, CEO and founder of The Desoto Group. “Dr Gordon, Tyree and Parish each bring valuable experience and leadership, helping us continue to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions while creating opportunities for the next generation of industry leaders.”
The hires come at a pivotal time as The Desoto Group experiences strong growth and is selected for significant infrastructure projects, including partnerships with major utility providers. As the first Black-owned EPC firm in the US to self-perform both gas and electric distribution, the company is well positioned to play a leading role in modernising the nation’s energy grid.
With a proven track record in critical infrastructure, storm response, and site management projects, The Desoto Group’s expanded leadership team sets the stage for continued success in the evolving energy sector.
