The Netherlands: TenneT Holding B.V. has announced the appointment of Dieuwert Inia as chief financial officer (CFO) for both TenneT Holding and TenneT Netherlands, effective 1 January 2026. He will succeed Arina Freitag, who has served as CFO since January 2022 and will remain in her role until 31 December 2025.

Ab van der Touw, Chair of the Supervisory Board, thanked Freitag for her strategic and financial leadership during a pivotal phase for TenneT, highlighting her role in strengthening the company’s position in both the Netherlands and Germany, and advancing its green finance strategy.

Inia, currently a senior partner and former managing partner at McKinsey & Company in the Netherlands, is recognised for his strategic insight, results-driven approach, and experience in the energy sector. He has advised numerous organisations on performance transformation and value creation, particularly within the context of the energy transition.

Van der Touw noted that Inia’s European experience and expertise will help strengthen cross-border synergies between TenneT’s operations in the Netherlands and Germany.

Manon van Beek, CEO of TenneT Holding, welcomed Inia, stating that his arrival coincides with a major investment programme and significant steps towards a climate-neutral energy system.

Inia expressed enthusiasm about joining TenneT, calling the energy transition “one of the most important challenges we have as a society.”
