EM-Power Europe: Navigating the Energy Transition
From May 7–9, 2025, EM-Power Europe in Munich will highlight current developments in the modernization and digitalization of the power grid. The exhibition and accompanying conference will focus on the role of smart grids, grid expansion, and flexibility as key elements of the energy transition.

All technologically feasible, but the factors of time, money, resources and regulation also play a role in the solution.
Over the coming years, the expansion, digitalization and flexibilization of the grids will play a vital role when it comes to integrating millions of distributed energy resources (DER) as well as guaranteeing a reliable 24/7 power supply. From May 7–9, 2025, EM-Power Europe will be showcasing the latest trends and developments in modernizing and digitalizing the power grid and turning it into a flexible smart grid, integrating prosumers, electromobility and power-to-heat concepts into a holistic, renewable energy system.
From Smart Grids to Flexibility: Insights at The smarter E Forum
From utility companies to grid operators, from industry and commerce to installers and energy managers – The smarter E Forum offers practical information for a wide range of target groups. The Energy Transition Award is also presented here, recognizing the most innovative energy utilities from Germany, Austria and Switzerland, France, Italy and Denmark. The focus is on public utilities that prioritize renewable energies and stand out from others as so-called lighthouses. The initiators of the project are The smarter E Europe and EUPD Research. The smarter E Forum will take place in hall B5 on all three days of the exhibition. Entry to the forum is included in the exhibition ticket.
